Program Guidelines:

1. Beta testers can be potential and existing customers, business users, government agencies, consumers, press, analysts, and/or anyone interested in testing the product and has a need for a data protection solution.
2. Beta testers will test a hosted version of our online backup software where 5 gigabytes of storage will be provided*.
3. If you’re interested in the testing both the server and client environment in order to manage your own implementation for your business please go to www.datacastlecorp.com/supportrequest.
4. If you’re a VAR, ISP, MSP, data protection/security related consultancy or any other relevant partner type who would be interested in beta testing for the purpose of reselling through a Datacastle partnering agreement, please e-mail partners@datacastlecorp.com.

Program Requirements:

1. You will be required to install the Datacastle product within 48 hours after we send it to you (it takes 5 – 10 minutes)
2. You will be required to provide feedback to us about your experience via a short weekly survey and one final survey at the end of the testing period
3. You will be required provide immediate feedback to us via an online bug web form for any errors you encounter.
4. You need to commit to beta testing the Datacastle product for six-eight weeks including allowing updates to be installed as needed to fix issues.
5. You will be provided with a download link to the Datacastle product and an activation code intended for you to use on a single computer. You may request additional activation codes if you have multiple machines that you will be testing on. The issuance of additional activation codes will be at Datacastle’s discretion.
6. You will also be provided with an email address that you can use for any support questions you might have. We will make our best effort to respond to all support queries within 24 hours, although there may be rare cases that take longer.
7. We are also very interested in receiving feedback on suggested future features, ways we can improve the product, and feedback on support.
8. You may not discuss it with any third party unless specifically authorized by Datacastle.

Contest Rules:

1. First, second, and third place winners will be chosen at the discretion of Datacastle based on bug quality submitted, activity level, confirmation that 5 new testers were referred, and additional valuable feedback based on support, future release features and overall usability. First, second, and third place winners will also be eligible for one year subscription of free online backup with 5 gigs of storage.*
2. All active beta testers will receive a free six month subscription of online backup with 5 gigs of storage. Active testers are defined by the following:
   1. Successfully download software within 48 hours of receipt
   2. Proactively fill out and submit online bug form immediately once any bugs are encountered
   3. Fill out weekly experience surveys with meaningful information
   4. Fill out final survey with meaningful information
3. Any person who refers 5 new testers to Datacastle, but doesn’t test, will also be eligible for a free six month subscription of online backup with 5 gigs of storage.
4. Any tester who does both will be eligible for one year subscription of free online backup with 5 gigs of storage.

Winners will be notified within 2 weeks of program close. Details for those receiving free subscriptions will be sent within this timeframe also.
